Livestyles of the Tiki Bar Owners
We have a small cottage in Ocean City, NJ and were looking for a way to extend our limited living space to the outdoors. Thanks to the creative talents of Kevin Dunn we are now the proud owners of a custom built Tiki Bar. Not only did the tropical look enhance the view on our deck but the beauty of the cedar and the “Gilligan Island” style thatched covered roof opened up our home to a lifestyle we had no idea existed.
Everyone who visits are immediately drawn to the deck – to be near the bar. The spacious counter area allows seating for 6 comfortably, the sturdy built in cabinets provides storage for all those party accessories, and Kevin also included outlets for lighting, blenders and a mini fridge.
Tiki – is a state of mind, an instant ambiance and our distinctive bar has provided us with a congregation area to socialize and unwind after a long day. Add a few friends and it’s an instant party without the hassle. Conversations and rum punch seem to flow with ease within this relaxing Tiki atmosphere. A Tiki Bar is a welcome addition to any home and lifestyle.
The best thing we ever did was contact Kevin Dunn. Kevin took the time to explain the materials, the accessories, and the workmanship involved in completing our project. He drew up sketches and gave us options to customize our bar. My husband and I were impressed with his construction knowledge offering suggestions we may not have considered. I was in the market for a large Tiki bar.
After searching around on the Internet I found a dealer in Cincinnati who was willing to build one for the agreed price and deliver it. However, six months later the tiki bar was still not complete. After a lot of grief we finally decided to terminate the agreement.
Thankfully, three weeks later I received my initial down payment back which I had thought was gone forever.
Being from Pennsylvania, I was fairly certain that tiki bar builders do not exist in this area. That is when, to my pleasant surprise, my internet search led me to Kevin C. Dunn. Kevin invited me to his business location so now I could actually touch and feel the product I was going to purchase. This was something I needed to do after my bad experience with the Ohio builder.
From the very first meeting I could tell that this was a professional who took pride in his product, a great craftsman and an honest man. He gave me a fair price and thoroughly explained every option. Being sensitive to my previous bad experience, I was very pleased that he kept me informed of his progress every step of the way.
The tiki bar was delivered to my deck. The roof was built on site and I saw first hand the time and expertise it takes to build a quality Tiki bar/hut, such as his.
When I now go back and look at what is available from other dealers, this one blows every other one out of the water.

Sue and I are so happy with the new Tiki Hut and Bar that you installed in our backyard. It really complements our pool and provides a tropical feel to the backyard. Your attention to detail and quality craftsmanship really shows and having the bar customized for our needs was the clincher. We can hook up our mini refrigerator, blenders and lighting with the additional outlets you provided with the bar. We have had several large parties and the bar is always the place that everyone congregates. Thanks again and have a great day!!!

Dear Kevin,
I just had to drop you a quick note and tell how much I love our Tiki Hut. Since you crafted the hut on our deck last April we have had many parties. It's amazing that no one has fallen off the deck since my husband has still not put up the railing. I am just amazed how you enlarged our deck and built a Tiki Hut in less than a week and my good for nothing husband cannot seem to build a railing in less than a year! Also, thanks for not using all the wood I bought for the project. Everyday I enjoy looking out my large kitchen windows to a pile of wood that has been sitting there for 293 days, but who's counting. I am sure that my Crown guzzling husband will get around to building a bar under the Tiki Hut soon. Meanwhile, I am just so happy that we invested in a Tiki Hut so that lazy son of a gun can just push the grill underneath when it rains because putting the cover on it is very difficult. It's been really hard to capture all my emotions that a Tiki Hut can bring, but hopefully someone will read this and realize they can enjoy the same pleasure it has brought me.

We wanted to let you know how much we have enjoyed our tiki hut. All of our friends are amazed at how awesome it is when they see it. Having it in our back yard is like living in a tropical resort. I love to look out my kitchen window and look at the fun waiting to happen! It has stood up to rain, snow and crazy winds without a losing a leaf.
